It is that time of year again! Time to start thinking about writing your own book for our competition. The rules have gone out this week. They will be posted below as well. If you have any questions about the book competition please contact Sarah at 297-2436 or stoodys@bradfordco.org
WRITE YOUR OWN BOOK 2012 rules
Any school or home school students, grades 1-8, who live or go to school in Bradford County, may participate.
The book will be original, by one student, on any subject.
The paper must be regular copy paper and 8 1/2 x 11 and use only one side.
Please type or write in ink; parents should not change the child's work.
Drawings may be in color or black/white. No pencil please.
Margins for text and pictures must be as follows: 1 inch margin on the top and bottom 1 1/8 inch margin on left and right side.
The book will have a cover designed by the author.
Include two title pages. One will include only the name of the author and the other will include: name of author, age, grade, school, home phone number.
Please bring your book to the Bradford County Library by 8:00 PM on Tuesday February 21st.
Winners will be announced to the public at the Young Authors Reception, Thursday March 1st, 6:30 PM.

One World Many Stories - Summer Reading 2011
Summer Reading club is here again! The theme is "One World Many Stories." Come into the library this summer to sign-up and get a reading log to mark progress of the time you've read. Prizes are given for every 2,4,6,8,10 and 12 hours or reading. If you get to 12 hours, you will be entered into the grand prize drawing for a Kodak digital camera provided by the Friends of the Library. Stop into the library on the following days and take part in these activities :

One Book Every Young Child
Today we had Rosemary Wynott, the bookmobile librarian as our special guest reader for One Book Every Young Child. Rosemary put on her Tap shoes and gave a dance for us. Thanks Rosemary!

Write Your Own Book 2011
It is that time of year again! Time to start thinking about writing your own book for our competition. The rules have gone out this week and are already posted on our website http://www.bradfordcountylibrary.org/kidspage.html. They will be posted below as well. WRITE YOUR OWN BOOK 2011 rules
Any school or home school students, grades 1-8, who live or go to school in Bradford County, may participate.
The book will be original, by one student, on any subject.
The paper must be regular copy paper and 8 1/2 x 11 and use only one side.
Please type or write in ink; parents should not change the child's work.
Drawings may be in color or black/white. No pencil please.
Margins for text and pictures must be as follows: 1 inch margin on the top and bottom 1 1/8 inch margin on left and right side.
The book will have a cover designed by the author.
Include two title pages. One will include only the name of the author and the other will include: name of author, age, grade, school, home phone number.
Please bring your book to the Bradford County Library by 8:00 PM on Tuesday February 22nd.
